Afghanistan head coach Jonathan Trott insisted that miscommunication between him and Afghanistan Cricket Board has been sorted.

Recently, Trott hit out at the ACB over lack of communication as he insisted that he did not have any input on the squad and hadn't had any communication with the top management (of the ACB) or with the (chief) selector. However, ahead of the three-match T20Is, he insisted everything is fine between both parties.

"Had a good discussion, the ACB myself and all the stake holders and top management and sort of come to an agreement of playing and going forward and I think it's been resolved and any miscommunication or misunderstanding have been sorted out," Trott told reporters ahead of the series in Harare.

"So communication now are in and working all together and building up together for a strong Zimbabwe side and looking beyond that and for the T20I World Cup in the subcontinent," he said.

"I think sometimes these discussions are healthy as you realise where things can be improved both sides communication wise and the communication over the last few days was brilliant, enjoyed that looking forward to next few months," he said.

While ACB officials told this website that they are looking to retain Trott as head coach beyond the T20 World Cup, the former England batter added that he is not looking too far ahead.

"It's been some good discussion in the last few days I have signed a contract for the end of the 26 World Cup and will be there obviously so excited about the future and the next few months obviously and after that you know you know so that's my focus at the moment as a side we are obviously disappointed how Asia Cup went but need to bounce back and the guys have some good training," said Trott adding that they are eyeing to take as much momentum as possible leading up to the T20 World Cup, scheduled in India and Sri Lanka.

"We are here and we want to win and get as much momentum into last few months building up to the World Cup," he said.

Afghanistan, who lost the one-match Test series, are scheduled to take on Zimbabwe in three-match T20I series on October 29, 31 and November 3 in Harare.
