Legspinner Graeme Cremer has been recalled as Zimbabwe named a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan, beginning October 29 at the Harare Sports Club.
The 39-year old Cremer, who last played for the country in 2018, replaces seamer Trevor Gwandu in what is otherwise an unchanged Zimbabwe squad from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier campaign where that went unbeaten to secure a spot at the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Captain Sikandar Raza continues to lead a well-balanced unit that blends experience with emerging talent. The familiar pace pairing of Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani will shoulder the fast-bowling responsibilities, while Brendan Taylor, on his international return, retains the wicketkeeping gloves.
Among the younger crop, Brian Bennett, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Brad Evans, and Tashinga Musekiwa have all been retained following impressive performances in the qualifiers. Sean Williams, meanwhile, remains unavailable as he continues to attend to personal matters.
The three T20Is - scheduled for October 29, 31 and November 2 - will be played in Harare.
