Jamieson to Jordan Cox, out Caught by Mitchell!! FOUR and OUT! Cross-seam ball that holds onto the pitch a bit, Cox clears his front leg to tonk it down the pitch. He's slightly early into his shot, more height than distance and Mitchell gets low after getting forward from long-on to hold onto the catch. Jordan Cox c Mitchell b Jamieson 16(18) [4s-2]
Michael Bracewell to Buttler, out Caught by Matt Henry!! High but it isn't handsome. Buttler jogs down the track to try and loft it downtown. Moves leg-side and actually gets quite close to the pitch of this fullish ball. However, the timing goes awry as it's off the bottom part of the bat. Henry moves to his right from long-off to hold onto it. End of Buttler's knock who was nowhere close to his fluent best. England have now lost half their side. Buttler c Matt Henry b Michael Bracewell 29(25) [4s-2 6s-1]
Santner to Tom Banton, out Caught by Neesham!! Tom Banton shimmies down the track and isn't quite close to the pitch of the ball. But he goes through with his lofted shot. More height than distance and he holes out. Neesham remains calm as he moves slightly to his right before taking a safe catch. Tom Banton c Neesham b Santner 9(9) [4s-1]
Neesham to Brook, out Bowled!! A big wicket and Neesham has broken through for his team - on a good length and following Brook as he backed away on the cut, was the slower cutter and Brook was beaten on the flick, ricocheted off the pad and went on to fall onto the stumps - Always a dangerous batter in any situation, it's a big wicket for the home team. Brook b Neesham 20(14) [4s-1 6s-2]
Matt Henry to Jacob Bethell, out Caught&Bowled!! A massive top-edge, goes straight up - Henry calls for the catch and takes it with ease. Banged in short and pushed across the left-hander, Bethell was shaping for the pull, hit high on the bat and lobbed up in the air. Bethell falls after a scratchy start. Jacob Bethell c and b Matt Henry 15(13) [4s-1 6s-1]
Jacob Duffy to Phil Salt, out Caught by Chapman!! A massive top-edge and a sliding catch at third man from Chapman - New Zealand draw first blood in Christchurch. Duffy shortened the length and got it to nip away slightly - Salt was shaping for the big pull, was through with the shot and the ball caught the top-edge, went high and behind square on the off-side, Chapman ran in from the deep, judged the flight well and dived forward to complete a fine catch. Phil Salt c Chapman b Jacob Duffy 3(4)
