-Laura started playing from the age of five
-During her time as a student, she used to practice batting as a stress reliever between breaks
-She always tagged along with boys in school just to play cricket
-Only discovered girls playing cricket at the age of 11 at a practice session
-Made her international debut at the age of 16
-She postponed her university admission to study medicine just to continue playing cricket
-In her debut game in 2016, Laura was out for a 24-ball 5
-She had to face the then number one ODI bowler Katherine Brunt, opening the batting
-In the next game, she scored her maiden fifty during the run-chase and helped SA win over ENG
-Very good with the drives, and has grown into the leadership role in a very short time
