Bangladesh Women are set to tour India for a white-ball series in mid-December, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, as part of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).
A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official confirmed the development to Cricbuzz on Thursday (October 30), adding that discussions between the two boards are in progress to finalise the itinerary. The matches are expected to be held in Kolkata and Cuttack.
The ODI leg of the tour will mark the beginning of the new cycle of the ICC Women's ODI Championship for both sides.
"We are expected to leave on December 14 or 15 for the tour as per the proposed draft that is yet to be finalized by both boards, but we have been asked (by the hosts) to prepare for the series keeping that date in mind," said a BCB official involved in the planning.
Joti, Marufa and Nahida to miss NCL
Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana Joti had earlier announced that she would skip the upcoming National Cricket League (NCL) to focus on improving her fitness.
Meanwhile, a BCB official confirmed that left-arm spinner Nahida Akter and pacer Marufa Akter will also miss the tournament, scheduled to begin on November 8 at BKSP, as part of workload management.
It is understood that Nahida picked up an injury during the World Cup, while the team management believes Marufa needs a break to recover from the workload she carried through the tournament.
Bangladesh, who managed just one win in seven matches at the ICC Women's World Cup, finished seventh out of eight teams. The players returned home on October 28 and are currently on a short break.
